ShelterBox coming on campus, Mon 28/03/2011
What is ShelterBox?
An international disaster relief charity organisation that delivers emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disasters, both natural and man-made, worldwide.
How does it work?
Each large green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster, but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children't activity pack, and other vital items. The boxes are delivered to families in need to survive in the immediate aftermath of a disaster.
How can YOU help?
Donate now any sum of money to the ShelterBox donation boxes placed around campus (IRC circulation desk, Pulse Express store, Coffee Bar).
For more information check the ShelterBox official website: http://shelterbox.org/.
